In a large mixing bowl, first lightly whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter. Then whisk in the flour, sugar, and salt until everything is smoothly combined.
Start heating a medium sized skillet or non-stick pan over a medium heat.
Lightly grease the pan with a light oil or butter.
Once the pan is hot enough, use a spoon or small ladle to scoop out about 3 tablespoons worth of batter and gently pour it in the middle of the pan while simultaneously tilting the pan so the batter can evenly coat the bottom in a thin layer.
Cook on each side about one or two minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Serve them on a plate and lightly coat in a layer of your favorite butter or jam, and then top with some sliced fruit if desired.
